Klall Overseas commenced its operations as a trading entity specializing in textile dyes and other chemicals & reagents etc., however with the advent of an international outlook infused by the sons of Shri Kishore Lall, Klall Overseas today is a well known company operating as a well diversified international trading entity not only in Punjab but in various segments in which it operates across the globe.
Currently Klall Overseas is engaged in carrying out the international trading activity in two specific lines of business, i.e. ferrous & non-ferrous metals and agricultural commodities, apart from some domestic trading in textile dyes and chemicals etc. The company initially started with the import of these commodities in India and marketing them in local markets of Punjab and nearby areas. However, now the company has not only enhanced its domestic market by adding new clients base across the country for the marketing of its products through an established network of brokers and dealers. The two specific categories of products which are the focus area for the business of the company:
1.Metals:
A. Ferrous Metals & Metal Scraps.
B. Non Ferrous Metals & Non Ferrous Metal Scraps.
2.Agri Commodities:
A. Edible Grade Oils: Crude & Refined.
B. Pulses, Grains & other agro commodities.
India is today one of the largest importers of metal scraps which are in different forms of scraps, both ferrous and non-ferrous, because there exists a tremendous market for these products since the other alternatives such as metal ores, face serious environmental issues and different kind of manufacturing set-up required, whereas the metal scraps are much more easily handled by the mid and small sized, less complex manufacturing plans and constitute a very significant component of today’s manufacturing industry. The business of company in this particular activity has shown exponential growth.
Additionally, considering the wide gap between demand and supply of edible oils, which are imported in India in a very big way, and with the specialized contacts and network of business owners and international trading companies, We have developed a second line of product range, namely agricultural commodities and for that we have started with edible oils.
The company has plans to extend its activity more by adding some of large quantity food grains like wheat and other items like sugar, fertilizers and also pulses, lentils with the help of a very large established network of such suppliers who are large multi-national companies engaged in this trade as well as country specific producers of these commodities based in Latin American countries like Brazil, Argentina & Ecuador etc.
Apart from this, the networks are currently being explored in Ukraine for Sunflower Seed Oil and in Indonesia and Malaysia for Palm Oil etc. since today the imports constitute a very large share in the overall edible oils & other pulses, lentils etc. with respect to their consumption in India.
